This syrup can be used to swirl into cheesecakes, used as a simple syrup in margaritas and used as a drizzle on salads. Use the candied hibiscus on salads too!

If we are what we eat, well I am awfully sweet.
Hibiscus Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup dried hibiscus 
- 2/3 cup sugar 
- 1 1/3 cups water 
Instructions:
- Add the dried hibiscus, sugar and water to small saucepan. 
- Heat on high heat until lightly boiling. 
- Reduce heat to medium and let simmer for about 20-25 minutes until reduced and slightly thickened. 
- Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly. 
- Strain the liquid from the hibiscus. 
- Dry the hibiscus on a paper towel and store. 
- Store syrup in air tight jar.
